Jackson Downs Wines and Liquors has been part of Donelson since 1978. Founded by John C. Hobbs, we've grown from a quick neighborhood stop into one of the deepest bottle shops on the east side of Nashville, minutes from Nashville International Airport. Even as the selection has grown, the small-town feel hasn't, and the person behind the counter still knows your name.
The name and the horse on our logo trace back to the racetrack and the equestrian statue tied to Andrew Jackson, whose estate sits just up the road in Hermitage. That's the history behind the name. Day to day we're simpler than that: a real bottle shop where people who actually drink this stuff help you find the right bottle for the occasion.
